Effective Teaching for SEND

SEND Flyer 2024

A DfE endorsed programme aimed at leaders of Teaching & Learning, SENDCos, and mainstream teachers in Primary and Secondary schools.

Designed to equip you with knowledge and practical strategies to implement in your school to improve outcomes for SEND pupils.

The programme will be delivered by practicing school leaders and specialists in Autism and SEMH from Children’s Support Services and Thurrock Local Authority.

There are three visits to schools with specialisms in SCLN, Autism, ASD, Communication & Interaction difficulties, and Cognition & Learning difficulties.

We will be drawing on the recommendations from the DfE’s SEND Review publication from March 2022
(Right support, right place, right time), and EEF’s guidance report and demonstrating how to apply this research within your school setting.

Throughout the course, we will facilitate a network of support and best practice from across the region.
