Chafford Hundred Teaching School Hub is an Appropriate Body for ECT Induction in the South Essex Region covering Basildon, Brentwood, Castle Point, Maldon, Rochford, Southend-on-Sea and Thurrock. We provide full support for ECTs, Mentors and schools as well as quality assurance of the ECT Induction programme.
All qualified teachers who are employed in a relevant school in England must, by law, have satisfactorily, completed an induction period, subject to specified exemptions and confirmed by an Appropriate Body.
The appointment of an Appropriate Body is a statutory requirement for the Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction period. For more information see below.

If you would like to register your ECTs now for an Induction to start in September 2024, please register by 2nd September at the latest. Induction date cannot be backdated if registered after this date.
